What it is
Turning off a show or game is one of the hardest moments of the day for a lot of kids. Many shows autoplay and many games always offer one more level, so there is never a natural place to stop. Screen Off, Calm On gives kids a clear countdown, a real stopping spot, and a plan for the first few minutes after screens. No screen shaming: screens can be fun and real rest. This kit is about the switch. What makes it different: - A "stopping spot" step: the countdown cards include a "last one" card (episode, level, video, round, or song) and a "stopping spot" card, so screen time ends at a natural pause instead of mid-scene. - Pick Up Here slips: kids write or draw where they stopped and what they want to do next time, so stopping does not feel like losing their progress. - A Landing Spot menu: 12 quick ways for a busy body to settle after screens (move it, sip and snack, squeeze and soothe, make and explore). - Tell Me About It cards: 12 questions for grown-ups to ask after screens, to connect instead of lecture.
