What it is
When the storm passes, everyone in the house is wrung out: your child, you, and the brothers and sisters who saw it all. Most meltdown resources focus on stopping meltdowns. This one is about what comes after: helping everyone recover, finding each other again, and learning from the storm together, without blame. It's autism-affirming and low-demand. No forced apologies, no consequences in the middle of recovery, no "fixing" your child. Just rest first, repair later, and small changes to the world around your child.
What's included
- Start here: five steps, plus a 3-page "short on time" path
- What Recovery Looks Like: the recovery curve (building, storm, quiet, fragile, steady), meltdown vs. shutdown, and why "looks fine" isn't the same as recovered

- Words for After: 9 swaps for the things tired parents say, with why each one helps
- Lower the Bar Today: keep, shrink, or drop each demand on a recovery day, plus 8 ways to make things smaller
- My Child's Recovery Profile: what helps them come back, what makes it harder, how they show they're ready to connect, and what you love about them
